About Mark Bisese

I was born and raised in Norfolk, Virginia, and graduated from Lake Taylor High School in 1984. After earning my degree from Virginia Tech in 1987, I returned to the Norfolk area, where I worked in apartment maintenance and residential remodeling throughout Norfolk and Virginia Beach.

In 1994, I moved to South Florida and earned my Florida Residential Contractor’s license. For the next several years, I completed home repairs and renovations throughout Palm Beach County.

In 1999, I moved to Savannah, Georgia, where I married my wife, Lois. A year later, we returned to Virginia and settled in Buchanan, where we built our home. And raised our two daughters.

After returning to Virginia, I joined a group of talented independent contractors completing installation work for Lowe’s, Home Depot, and Lumber Liquidators. In 2008, I began working exclusively with Home Depot as an independent contractor, specializing in kitchen remodels and door installations for stores in Roanoke, Christiansburg, and Lynchburg. After a successful ten-year relationship, I left Home Depot in 2018 to focus on serving homeowners directly.

Since then, I have continued providing home repairs, kitchen remodels, bathroom remodels, and basement build-outs throughout Southwest Virginia.

Today, as I move into the next stage of my career, my passion is helping homeowners remain safely and comfortably in the homes they love. As a Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS), I specialize in designing and remodeling bathrooms that are safer, more accessible, and easier to use without sacrificing beauty or comfort.

While bathrooms are my primary focus, aging-in-place often involves improvements throughout the home. From better lighting and grab bars to wider doorways and other accessibility upgrades, I can recommend practical solutions that improve safety while maintaining the character of your home.
